Great post! I definitely agree. I had to consider all of these things with the recent redesign of my blog. I can’t stand to be on a blog/website that has so much clutter and different options that you can’t figure out what is what or there are a hundred ways to get to the same information. I am most likely to leave that blog out of not wanting to sort through the clutter. As you have stated, I think it is important to have a clean laid out page with easy and clear options to navigate around your blog. Thanks for sharing!

Today, the designs tend to be simpler, cleaner and more usable. There is definitely an increased focus on usability, navigation and readability.
