I think having a blog is highly underestimated! Relevant and frequent content shows both customers and search engines that you know what you’re talking about, and that you’re an important source of relevant information because consistently provide new and informative content.

You cannot be more right. I have been trying to push customers into developing an active blogging strategy for a few years now. But to be honest, I still find it difficult to convince businesses, particularly small businesses, to invest resources and time towards building their blog. Many have started a blog but fail to maintain momentum. I guess it boils down to how motivated they are really are. As you and I alreayd know, bloggin is essential for every business, and not just a choice. Sooner or later every business will have to get involved with it if they are serious about their online performance.
