We have said repeatedly on this blog that blogging is one of the most effective SEO techniques. Blogging is a great way to improve your brand presence on the Internet including search engine results. This article helps explain how the benefits of blogging translated to better ranking on search engine results of Google, Yahoo or Bing.

Blogging - SEO Benefits

To understand how blogging leads to better SEO, we need to understand the main factors that have an impact on SEO and see how blogging addresses each of these factors. Search engines take a number of factors into consideration to determine how well your website ranks on its results. Some of the main factors are:

Search Engines Favour Websites with Plenty of Information

Search engines favour websites that offer a variety of information not just information about products and services of a company. And blogs offer the ideal opportunity to offer this variety. Blogs enable you to publish a wide range of quality content relevant to your field including reviews, tutorials, and more.

Search Engines Favour Websites That are Updated Regularly

Traditional websites that are limited to pages such as home, about us, products and contact us are not very easy to update. After all there is only so much new information that you can add about your company or its products. Blogs on the other hand are very easy to update on a regular basis, even few times a day in many cases. Without a blog on your website, you will soon discover that there is very little scope for adding new content on a frequent basis.

Search Engines Favour Websites with Many Incoming Links

If you are familiar with SEO principles, you are probably aware how important it is for other websites to link to yours. The number of links (from related websites) is one of the main factors for ranking high on search engine results. Blogs make it easy to build back-links to your website. In addition to other activities used to build incoming links to standard websites, blogs open the door to a whole new range of opportunities for achieving this. Quality blog posts often get re-printed or referenced on other websites. Whenever your content is referenced, a link to the original source i.e. your website will also be included. In addition to the link-ability of your posts, blogs offer other opportunities for building links and promoting your site e.g. via your RSS feed, etc.

Search Engine Favour Websites With High Authority & Reputationthat are Mentioned Frequently on Social Media

Blogging is a great way to build your reputation and authority on the web. Quality blog posts help establish your expertise in your niche. The number of mentions on social media, social shares about your website including Tweets, ReTweets, Facebook likes also contribute to you influence and authority on the Internet. Search engines take this into account when determining the rank of your website in search engine result pages. Blogging and social media optimisation go hand in hand. Blog posts promote social sharing. Readers who like your posts will often share it with others on social media.

Summary:

Blogging is essential for SEO. It is used effectively by Internet marketers and SEO experts across the world use blogging effectively to improve better ranking for websites on search engines. In fact blogging is a great way to improve your brand presence across the Internet, not only on search engines. In addition to improving your rank on search engines, blogging also has the potential to drive tons of traffic directly from other websites, blogs, and social sites. It also expands your community on social networks and helps build your reputation and authority online.

    Hey Author,
I was wondering on a similar note,, Many Realtors have websites that look old and out of date. You don’t want that. You want a website experience that is very positive for your visitors. You want them to look at your site and think you are a Top Producer. You also want to make the experience interactive so they will enjoy it more.
    All the Best
