Should a small company outsource its website marketing?
Having a professional website designed for your company is only the starting point to a successful online presence. What should you do next? Most small companies seem to go for pay per click advertising campaign such as Google Adwords. While pay per click will work in the short term, in the long run a small company may not find it cost effective. If you are serious about making your company’s website commercially viable, then you need to focus ion an ongoing strategy for your website.
Most successful companies that have been able to use their website to drive sales and leads for their business have a day to day approach to their website. Day to day tasks may not necessarily require hours of your time very day; and may include simple tasks such as adding new content on your website. Each task undertaken on a daily basis will ultimately lead to a higher ranking for your website on search engines such as Google and Yahoo and improve your overall visibility of your company’s brand.
For a company, a professionally designed website is only the first step to a commercially successful web presence. If prospective customers are not able to find your website then it will be difficult for your business to realise its full potential. A professionally designed website adds value to a company’s brand. However the main benefits of a website can only be realised from increased visibility on search engines and the internet in general.
Commissioning a specialist marketing company to build the online profile of your website will undoubtedly lead to a better brand positioning and visibility of your website online. However this can prove expensive and out of reach for smaller companies. An equally effective and much more cost effective approach is to hire a web design company with expertise in search engine marketing or a smaller online marketing company for this purpose. There are many web design/ online marketing companies that offer services to suit various monthly budgets. Commissioning a web design/search marketing company to market your website can offer many advantages over pay per click or other online marketing campaigns in the long run. Instead of setting a fixed monthly budget for a pay per click campaign a business can do the same with a web design or search engine marketing company. In most cases the outsourced company will set aside a certain number of hours per month based on the agreed monthly budget. This time will be used on day to day tasks aimed at improving your website’s rank on major search engines. Results take more time to achieve than pay per click but within a few months the results will be easily evident.
There are no secrets to search engine marketing, but a lot of dedication and hard work. Businesses that have realised the importance of ranking high on search engines have managed to implement an ongoing online strategy and have continued to do well in spite of the global economic conditions.

Nice Blog K.Singh.You give relevant information about Internet marketing ,outsourcing. To increase sales online its important to know internet marketing strategies.
I think this is an interesting topic, the difficulty from a marketeers perspective is to explain to your client that any work that’s done to improve search engine placement / traffic may take months to take effect – despite the fact the client is paying not insignificant sums of money.
Anyway – good post
Wendy
Web design and IT industry in general has always been one of the highest outsourced services. In UK alone it is estimated that about 50% of the businesses outsource in general. With regardsto website development or Search engine optimisation, outsourcing is particularly effective as managing the tasks in house requires exertise plus is time consuming. Search engine optimisation in itself can be a full time job. Surely it makes sense to outsource it. Countries like India and China have offer expert technical skills at a fraction of what it would cost in UK or US.
