Yes, Thomas is right on that. Sometimes you download/purchase this really cool template and you end up spending the entire day figuring out what to do with it.

This is a great list and I can't think of a better way to look good on the web on the cheap then getting a well designed template. Just a word of warning...sometimes installing the templates and getting all the functions to work as advertised can be a challenge!

It is good post, but I think that RocketTheme is the most popular templates club for Joomla websites. Their products are good, but expensive a bit. Though that guys can make the price higher - they exist on this market for 5 years.

Yootheme.com is also very good templates resource. As far as I know, guys working there are from Europe. Templates are pricy, too. About $50 for one template.

As for WordPress templates, I really like kreativethemes.com - young yet pretty nice WP themes by Indonesian team. Check that out.

And my favorite (of course it is, I work there >.<) Joomla template club is Mighty Template - only 9 EUR for one template. That club is rather young and there're only 10 templates in their store, but all of them are simply amazing. To be honest - I want to move my personal blog from WordPress to Joomla only because of one of their templates. It is called Prime and it's design is just outstanding. Also De Flou is one of my favorite.

But as always - it's all up to you - to go and buy a template for 50 or 10 bucks or to spend some time creating your own unique website template. As for me - I would simply customize a commercial template a bit =)

Take care,
Mike
