Content has become increasingly important on websites. Publishing quality content has become essential to improve the visibility of your business on the Internet and to improve your website’s rank on Google and other search engines.
In the first post of this 3 part series, we covered the first ten of the 30 great content ideas for your website or blog. Here are 10 more great content ideas for your website.

11. Start a Regular Feature
Create a regular feature on your website e.g. “Web design tip of the week”, “SEO tip of the month”, etc. Regular features are another great way to create new content for your website and improve your SEO performance. It also helps promote loyalty and encourages customers to visit your site regularly.
12. Allow Guest Posting On Your Blog
There are many benefits of guest posting. Other publishers are always looking for such opportunities. It is relatively easy to find users to write guest posts on your blog . Adding a dedicated ‘Guest Posting” page on your website with an enquiry form is usually sufficient to facilitate enquiries.
13. Create Case Studies
If you are business, case studies are a powerful way to promote the benefits of your products or services. You can easily create a full page article or blog post featuring how one of your clients have benefited from your product. You can create multiple case studies for added exposure. This will not only contribute to the content on your website but also help promote your business and act as a call to action for prospective customers.
14. Create a White Paper
Write a white paper or report on a topic important to your industry or on a hot topic within your niche. Try to make it as informative and in-depth as possible. Publish your report on your own blog, write a press release to promote it as well promote it on social media, other blogs, document sharing sites, etc. Well written informative reports tend to attract a lot of back-links and coverage across the Internet.
15. Create a Best Post List
If you find a compelling title or topic that has already been covered many times and you are unable to offer a new viewpoint, you can create a list of the best articles or posts on the topic e.g. “Top 5 Tutorials on Web Design Tips”. Best post lists are very popular among readers and can work for any topic.
16. Monthly List of Posts
Following on from the previous point, you can also create a monthly list of best posts on a topic and publish it on your blog around the same time each month. You can feature content from your own site as well as from other external sites. This can become a regular feature on your blog.
17. Monitor & Write About Trending Topics
The benefits of using Twitter are not limited to networking and relationship building. Twitter can be a powerful tool for researching trends and finding what is popular among your targeted audience. Many published use Twitter to monitor trending topics relevant to their niche so they can write about it on their blog. Such posts have a better chance to become popular. This is a great way to give readers what they want.
18. F.A.Q’s
In addition to standard F.A.Q’s section found on regular websites, you can also create F.A.Q posts such as “Frequently asked questions about Google ranking”. You can even cover topics that you are regularly asked from customers or you can research Q & Sites such as Yahoo Answers. There are many possibilities.
19. Research Social News Sites
Take advantage of social bookmarking and social news sites such as Digg, Delicious or Stumble Upon, that syndicate content from thousands of users and websites are also great for researching ideas for new content for your website or blog. These sites are excellent tools to find new topics to write about.
20. Publish Interviews
Interviews make great content and feature regularly on successful blogs. You don’t have to interview someone famous. You can interview any professional from your industry, colleague or even a customer.

Please go ahead and use the ideas I have suggested. If you get the chance, please post back and keep us updated of the results you receive. Every website is different and different techniques work better for each. Although a lot of the content ideas suggested in my post should apply to blogs in any niche.

You are right. Starting a regular feature is indeed a great idea. However you have to be able to maintain momentum. A couple of years ago I had started a Web Design Tip of the week feature on the site but I did not keep up with it after a couple of months. This should be avoided as far as possible.
