Now I only use PPC to optimise my SEO campaign and to search for new keywords. And still more then 90% of my advertising costs goes to SEO. The actual campaign as such is easy to set up and monthly caps on budgets can be set easily. However the ads run out quickly and conversion rates can be disappointing to say the least. We started PPC last year and failed to generate much new business from it in the beginning. It is only when we got in experts to manage our campaign, could we see an improvement in conversions and leads. At the end of the day we had to spend a fair bit for displaying our ads as well as for consulting fee. In hindsight it would have been better had we focused on organic search engine optimisation from the start. Surely the results take time to achieve, but in the long term it can prove to be better value for your investment. While results are not permanent even in organic SEO, they are relatively long term.
